Kinamoto's battling system is mostly free form. By this I simply mean that players are in complete control of their Pokemon, and moderators are in complete control of their own. We're putting the trust completely on those who have control. Be reasonable! A Fire type will not survive a Hydro Pump! Everything but ground, steel, and rock types are still affected by Sandstorm! Keep it all in mind!
However, there are a few ground rules we would like to make. If you follow them, then it will not be a huge issue!
Pokemorphs are to be included in all of these rules, as, during battle, they do count as a Pokemon.
1. Keep with ALL OTHER BOARD RULES.
2. Realize that this is still a freeform board, so attacks WILL WORK DIFFERENTLY than they do in the game. Period. That being said, be creative with how you use the attacks! You never know when something cool will happen!
3. You are limited to one physical attack and one status attack per turn, as well as actions you need to have your Pokemon move.
4. If you wish for experience in a nonmoderated (player vs. player) battle, you MUST contact a moderator in the appropriate thread. The moderator will award your Pokemon the EXP points it deserves based upon ROLEPLAYING MERIT.
5. Use common sense! Again, a strong water attack will most likely annihilate a fire type Pokemon! Keep levels and powers and all that in mind! Also, POKEMON DO STILL FATIGUE!
6. If for any reason the members abuse the privilege of free form battling, the Kinamoto staff RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REVOKE THAT PRIVILEGE. Period.
